Procrastination

This quote really resonated with me over the weekend.  As humans, we tend to stay inside of our comfort zones for the simple reason that it is comfortable. But do you really want to live your life this way?

Personally, I find a lot of things in life intimidating; starting this blog is one...questions flooded my mind before I actually started... "What would I write about?" "Would people even follow me?" From something as simple as starting this blog, I have learned something...

Once we learn to quiet our minds and lead with our hearts, life will be much simpler.

I realize the hard part here is learning how to quiet our minds but I think the trick is to change our inner dialogue. (I know, sounds a bit cheesy).  Learn to be positive, motivate yourself, and instead of asking negative questions, ask yourself "What is the worst thing that could happen?" Almost 100% of the time, the answer here is nothing bad will happen. 

Also, as humans, we tend to procrastinate and hold off on doing something important until we reach a breaking point. For instance, we wait to look for other jobs until we are laid off or our current jobs are so terrible we go home every day crying. (just one example). I think once you realize how short life is and how important doing certain things are, we actually do them. But once you realize this, it actually helps with the process of procrastination. We start to feel silly for not starting something sooner....

I am constantly talking about my goals in this blog and, to be honest, talk a lot about them. This weekend, something inside of me woke up, and I am finally doing something about these goals! I went and did a workout this morning at Karve Studio in Scottsdale.  It felt A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I am signing up for 30 classes for $100 which I think is a great deal...the classes are an hour long. It is a mix between yoga and pilates and the exercises incorporate a ballet bar to focus on your core. If you are looking for a new workout class, I highly recommend it.  

Also, I am going to be a volunteer at Pets on Wheels. I think it is so important to give back! 

If you are struggling with procrastination, I hope you can find the motivation and inspiration to DO something instead of just making plans for your life. <3
